It's the High Def geek in me
The local cable company & Fox have no agreement in place, so I can't get Fox in HD without it. Same goes for WB & UPN (until they merge) Then there's the HD feeds & normal station out of Canada that the antenna will pick up.
Throw in there that I have TiVo & thus, can't watch one program while recording another, this does eliminate that problem assuming one of the 2 shows is on the normal network channels (I can watch Desperate Housewives & record The Soprano's & then watch it right after)
It was not that expensive either - the antenna was $99 & the motor to rotate it was $79 (plus $15 for a cable)
