Cleo / Alex - That's something I was forced to learn when we moved to Key West about 10 years ago. And back then you really had to search around to find what you wanted/needed. But we didn't have much choice. If you didn't want an expensive meal, an over-priced and watered-down drink, or a $100 t-shirt, there's not much you can get in KW.
Since then I've moved to two of the other Keys islands with even less that you can buy locally. Aside from the grocery store, the gas station, and the mechanic's shop, there's not much I don't get online now.
Except seafood. That's one thing I can and do get locally.
And it's definitely better than anything I can get online.
