The defining feature of many in opposition to porn is hypocrisy and belief in fairy tales as fact, this prevents me from having a philisophical discussion with them or any dialogue whatsoever based on reason and logic. I may tell them that my reasoning is based on human biology, peer reviewed scientific studies, and evolutionary history; to no avail. They are in the same category as those who disputed the place of the earth in the universe because it did not coincide with their veiws of the earth as the center of it.
Copernicus was imprisoned because he made a statement of fact. But in the end facts did not matter, what mattered was the fickle opinion of the ignorant and uninformed. In one of the many repetitions of history, here we find ourselves yet again in a similar state of affairs. Suffice it to say, the majority of them have far too much misplaced pride in their omniscience, and what can you tell someone who already knows it all?
