Theres one more place I would start before Tobys suggestion and thats on your own site. You have to begin to know your own traffic. 2 ways I attempt to get a clue is
1. I have defined on each site what it is I am pitching by genre and methodology. You have to know what it is your selling and figure out a strategy to sell it.
2. Know your own traffic/surfers. Once you have defined what is is they are coming there for .....read your stats and pay close attention the reffering URLs. Thats going to tell you where your traffic is coming from and you should make sure that what they are expecting from the referring source matches what is its you are pitching. And thats a lot easier to describe than it actually is to do.
As an aside...I promoted exclusivly CCBill sites for a short time in fear of the books being cooked. I can also recommend sites that use NATS. Its a bit more difficult to fudge those numbers.
Ive always avoided those programs/links from people that simply say...see sig. I would expect the customer service to be that brief as well.
Your results may vary but that is some of the criteria I use in hiring new sponsors after Ive fired those that dont preform.
PS... its interesting how some of you reps can quickly post see sig but you cant be bothered to answer my ICQs.
