When i was doing student teaching at Emory back in 1999/2000 the history channel had show on the 200 most influential people of the last 1000 yrs. #1 was Gutenberg for the printing press. Anyway I challenged my students (all college level) to create for me their last supper using either the 12 of the 200 listed on the history channel homepage OR their own excepting friends and family who'd be 'grandfather'd in". and arrange a 'seating plan'. Like i had MLK and Nelson Mandela on my list along with Sitting Bull John Lennon and Jean Paul Sarte, Da Vinci etc. and then write a report on why they chose them and why they seated them (only da vinci and MLK made the HC list) It was really supposed to be a 'fun' diversion.
You'd be surprised how many failed the lesson by adding JC

to their list. AND then ARGUED with me over their grade. I should have expected that since it was a religious affiliated school in the heart of ATL.
Ok i'll shut up now..
