I am glad that I'm not one of the insane living on a tiny bit of sand known as the Keys.
I still want to put my whole house on a hydraulic lift. Actually since, I think, I'm 14 feet above sea level I should be safe. I know that I'm in the X zone which is the highest ground down here but even my neighbor who is right on the Intercostal would only get a few feet of water in his place according to these worst case studies. Seems the storm surge is not that bad because the ocean is so deep on my side of this giant sand bar.
