I do understand the concept of offsides, but with all these silly American sports, we have lines on the playing field that determine what is offsides. I'm gonna have to go read Fonz's link & try to figure out how the guy on the sidelines with the flag decides where he's gonna stand  |
Since he didn't touch the ball play could have continued if he was well out the way of play since the new rule is that you can be offsides if you aren't really active in play. So if he was over by the side line then it would not have been offsides.
