I guess my first sale was from a long defunct AVS since the only other way to make money was pay per Click. Nobody really started out counting signups.
Again, using the first and only AVS was nice. I started using it 2 months before Christmas back in 96 or 97 and the one site ended up paying for Christmas that year.
