I am not a board reader, I am more of a board skimmer, so had I noticed any of Kush’s pervious posts – this would have all been squashed weeks ago. What I learned from our conversation, is Kush believed I was ignoring him. The fact is I didn’t even see his posts. I came back from spending New Years in New Orleans when I checked my email and took a quick glance at the boards, saw his post, and flew off the handle.

Fact is: messages were crossed, mistakes were made, egos clashed, and this all turned into an ugly mess.

For the record:

I AM NOT A CODE STEALER – I don’t go around and lift other people’s pages – I don’t need to. I did that intentionally to show him what it felt like to have your ideas stolen and used against you – what really set me off was that he had dropped my links. Like he said: he looks at my code, I look at his, and now everybody on GG&Jim is probably looking – lol. It retrospect, I was my own fault he got the ideas – because I posted them on the damn boards. Like an idiot, I invited his competition -- lesson learned.

KUSH IS NOT A LINK DROPPER – Yes, Kush did drop some link trades that we had set up. Do I think he did it on purpose: No. Honest mistakes do happen, since we are such close competitors I took I quite personally and felt like he was out to fuck me. I know plenty of other webmasters he’s set up trades with that he has honored- I believe what happened with me was an anomaly.

Kush is a younger dude, up and coming in the business, and should be here for a while. Because of his youth, he may also be lacking in etiquette – this problem could have been easily solved via ICQ or email without dragging my name through the mud and enlisting his friends to help with the dragging (wicked, keyser, boogie). Just because you posted it, does not mean I’ve read it. For that I am offended, but I have accepted his apologies, and will forget about it and move on.

Long and short: We are both trustworthy people that let the competition get the better us, and both of our allegations were greatly biased and presented out of context.

I big part of the appeal of GG and Jim is that, unlike some other big webmaster boards, where flames are the rule, a beef like this is the exception. I stay off the other boards because of this -- it is a waste of my time, and yours.

While we may continue to battle over the same turf, we have agreed to act like gentlemen instead of junior high school kids, and both would appreciate it greatly if the moderators of Greenguys and Jim would remove all the flames related to this subject – including my initial post.
