Morning all! Cleo, sounds like some of the classes I've been to. Wish I'd of had wi-fi to get me through them like you do, lol.

DocHolly, we have lots of rock landscaping in our yard some of it looks really good using just plain old type II gravel (salt and pepper) rock, and it is cheap.

our pond area with type II gravel, and the reddish "fines" plus some flowers and river rock stones to dress it up. another view with a lot of gravel It isn't as pretty as Cleo's yard with all the plants, but it sure is easier to maintain. We have drip irrigation installed too.

With the cost of the gravel, red rock, river rock, plants, pond, and irrigation for that area I bet it wasn't much more than $500. It is hard to guess, because we got large loads of rock, and that is only a small amount of each of the loads. That pile in the 2nd pic is all we have left of that one load, and we have spread that all over the entire back yard, and some of the front.

This fall, we are going to remove the small pond and put in a larger pond and have fish. This was the get used to caring for a pond and do we like it test size, and boy do we like it!
