Don't worry about sales for now. Just build and forget. Once you have a bunch of free sites up and you are bringing in a good amount of traffic to them, then it's time to determine what converts best and what doesn't seem to be working.
And some big linklists can take a while to review, as in months and months. But their traffic is good if you have the patience to wait it out.
