Doesn't really matter what it is called in the end as long as same sex couples can get the same rights as opposite sex couples enjoy.
It is sad how many of my same sex couple friends have paid their life savings to someone of the opposite sex to marry one of them so that they can stay in this county.
On the plus side one of the major hospitals here, Holy Cross Hospital, just announced that domestic partners can not get health benefits.
Ironically the same sex couple that own the house right next door to me were able to get two houses homesteaded since their marriage is not recognized as legal.
The whole issue of discrimination against same sex couples reminds me of the laws against interracial marriages that were on the books in the last century.
