I'll try that.

Now, on to another weird thing. I got some sponsor content that was 600x400. Using IrfanView I made thumbs 150x100. The file size was too large ( I try and keep thumbs around 5-7 KB) but even at 40% of original they came out anywhere from 10-17 KB

I made full size gallery images 700x480 and their size is around 35-43 KB which is about right. Any ideas why the thumbs won't compress any more than they do?
