I was in another house in the same chair and watching a different TV. I remember watching The Today Show back then when they said, "we have to go to commercial but we have important news when we come back". I jumped up, ran into the living room to tell my wife, something important happened. Then we watched it together.
All that day we heard fire trucks going down the thruway. And we live about 3 and 1/2 hours from the city.
Funny how you remember things like this. I remember where I was when the first space shuttle blew up but not the second. I remember where I was when the Federal Building was blown up on Oklahoma. And, even though I was only 3 years old, I remember Kennedy getting shot. All I remember from that was my mother crying.
