What .htaccess are you using and where? Can you post the code so we can see what's going wrong?

First check that your host has the Apache Module mod_rewrite installed.

If they have, there are a couple of ways of making this work properly, you may just have slightly the wrong syntax.

Tech support should be able to give you all the info you need.

The site in question is hosted in Germany by abovenet.de in case you are interested in contacting them about their client. European hosts are a little easier to deal with legally.
