Good Afternoon! It is great to have power again.
Our power went out about 4:30 am. We pulled on more blankets, the cats piled into the bed with us, and we went back to sleep. When we woke up at 8:30am and still no power, we went down to a casino and waited about 1 1/2 hours to get a meal. Apparently, a major transmission line went down and took the entire town offline. They restored the main town with all the casinos first (naturally) and the outlying areas after. Still might have some rolling blackouts, but it is so nice to be warm, and able to flush your toliet, lol.
When we left the Saddle West, we found they had a broken water pipe that was pouring water down right on their main breaker panel. Got security out there...I could see that could be a big problem.
It is only a little about 30 degrees here, was about 20 when the power went off. brrrrr.
