My new install of wordpress is giving me grief if I make a long post. I get the following error:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/post.php on this server.

Short posts work just fine though, and I did try splitting it.
I remember hearing something about a server setting causing this problem.

Can somebody please help out a damsel in distress?
