A few of you here know me for only running Indian sites and recently I've noticed on Google quite a few variations of my sites names. One wm I know in the UK signed up as an affiliate to one of my pay sites and then bought a domain with a slight variation to get positioning in the SE's for his own sites which aren't Indian ??? .. I'm not happy at all so I just changed his affiliate % of sales to a big fat "0" as when I asked him why he did that he just told me to "F**K OFF".. LOL
I've also found quite a few others who've done this in recent weeks and there's nothing that can be done.. I've had them steal my tags to get good SE positions and then I just emailed their hosts and the wm of the infringement and the pages were taken down. One guy even used names that I'd made up for my models... DUH !!
