It just makes me wonder why this isn't the standard practice - I'd love to receive an email with sale information, including the referrer, renewals if it's a partnership sale, and so forth, from every sponsor for every sale or renewal. It couldn't be that difficult to accomplish.
It would make sales research easier, especially studying referrers. Saves time. And it's cheery to see those sale emails.
I notice that in the past two years I've moved towards sponsors that provide that kind of service.

I couldn't agree more. I've received a few (too few) of those Emails and its a pleasure to get them. Too few sponsors do it.
