I wouldnt bet the farm on doing blogs
things like them come and go. I would bet everything in another 8 months your gonna be hearing a lot of crying from people that do blogs
at the risk of sounding spammy I think you just need to submit at more and better places, you should be doing gallerys AND free sites
get that setup as your bread and butter AND THEN go mess around with other stuff
