I have said since last year that we would never participate in any kind of a list or witch hunt. Mostly because during our research we saw many, many sponsors being used by zango. Most of the sponsors I notified, never knew they were being used. A lot of these sponsors were called out on other boards. And the only thing they did wrong was to not know about zango. Next, I have never been a big fan of McCarthyism. Unless I see incontrovertible proof that a sponsor is using zango, I will not say or do anything.

So far, the only real proof I have seen was one program admit to both using them and then stop using them because it was not profitable anymore. And my comments about that program was more about how stupid it was to say either. I have really never said anything about them using zango...just the poor business decisions that came from it.

Last year, I contacted all our sponsors that I found on zango and told them how to demand to be placed on zango's exclusion list. That is really the only way to truly not support zango. Otherwise, any affiliate could still use them. As far as I know, all our sponsors being used by zango that were with us last year, have sent that letter. And only one has been added as of today. I am guessing that zango is in no rush to add them.

I learned from running the Good, Bad and Ugly back in the day that going after sponsors for something that you are not 100% sure about is a slippery slope. It's not one that I ever want to go down again. This is why I decided to educate the surfers through adwaresucks.com/wembasters instead of a witch hunt. Too many good people get hurt.

But, if anyone has real proof that any sponsor is doing anything that can hurt webmasters, pm me. I am not against pulling any sponsor that hurts webmasters. Remember though, I am not blind, I am not stupid and I do get around. I have seen all the posts, all the links and even the Amazon Book Cover

I have still not seen incontrovertible evidence about any sponsor other than one.

I have been told to expect a statement. But I admit, that was some time ago.
