Not for adult, least not yet. It has worked for me in non-adult. Very few allow porn, and those that do, it will usually get buried, reported or voted down. I've only gotten traffic from one Web 2.0 type site to my adult sites.
The other day I submitted a site for a client, non-adult, users were quick to point out it was not a interesting story or something that could be discussed. They are pretty good at policing.
Just my observations.
