I had this same thing happen installing this on an xp machine today...there is a fix posted on the support board that, strange as it sounds, did work for me...
Goto Program Files > Safari > Safari.resources
copy the two fonts inside to your Windows > Fonts folder
start Safari and shut it back down
Rename the above folder Safari.resources to Safari.resources1
start Safari, you'll get an error, and shut it back down
Rename the above folder back to Safari.resources
start Safari and it should be fine...
