It's still strange not to be able to walk into one room or another to find her reading or painting or getting her things ready so she could go sit by the canal out back and fish for awhile. Four days later and you'd think I'd know she's not going to be in that next room, so maybe there's some other reason I keep wandering from room to room around here.
Aside from that, her doctor's been out of town and out of touch, so the cremation is still on hold waiting for him to sign the death certificate. Which pushes back the plans for boating out to the Gulf Stream to scatter her ashes.
Oh yeah, and the Navy denied her son any leave time to come home for his mother's death. I don't thinks that's a smart way to get someone to want to stay in the Navy, but I'm sure the folks who run things must know what they're doing.
I'm going to try to relax a little this weekend and recharge my batteries for getting things done next week. Might even be able to make it to OTB today if nothing new comes up.
