I just added a searchbox that is adsense, as far as I know, I use them on a mainstream site, though not with a searchbox and I added this to my existing account. Apparently I get paid something for every click to an adsense advertiser, didn't really read the details.
I'm not eagerly awaiting big checks or anything though, just added it for navigation.
