You know if you want to have a good reputation in this biz, there is a better way of handling situations like this. Like simply saying, "Oops, sorry about the mistake, I'll put your link back up." I've had my links pulled down by accident before, and usually the webmaster just apologizes and it's over. Nothing to get all defensive about. Good luck.
