Oddly I just bought Soundsticks for my main workstation (17" Macbook Pro with a 30" Apple display). They sound real decent but mostly I bought them because because they look so kewl.
I need to pickup some speakers for the Mac mini that was I given since I've been using it to do video editing on and it's internal speaker is so lame that I can barely hear the vids. I'll probably buy something
under $75 from CompUSA selection. Seems like these days most 2.1 speakers sound real decent.
When I'm really jamming I listen to my music through my big living-room system. Before getting an AppleTV I used one of my laptops to control the music via a Airport Express but now with the AppleTV, with its sound output connected to my big living-room system, I use it to control the music whilst enjoying its screen saver that is a collection of my favorite pics.
I also added another Airport Express in my bedroom both to get a better signal on that side of my house and to use it to feed music into
Creative Labs i-Trigue 3300 2.1 Speakers. It sounds very decent.
