1999 - 2001 I was part-time, now I'm full-time working out of my house. I do though split my time between adult and non-adult projects. I have one large client I work on his sites that is non-adult, and a smaller business making homemade soap.

I don't ever want to to back to working for someone else. Just thinking about picking up some more non-adult clients to make extra money makes my brain hurt.

MadHatter and I haven't had a vacation though of more than 1 or 2 days since we went full time. Like alot that do this full-time, I work 7 days a week, many hours a day. I tend to get up early and hit it, and kick back in the early evening, and go to sleep early. MadHatter gets up late, stays up late, so we are on different schedules.

As for someone trying to get to full-time, don't quit your day job. I didn't quit until I had built up my income with adult enough that could pay all my bills and eat, and then worked a few more months and socked away some savings.

We also pay a LOT for health insurance with high deductibles, so take into account stuff like losing any benefits when you quit and having to pay for them, or go without, before you decide. And work a LOT. I was soooo tired because of doing both for so long.

Also, don't discount doing work for a sponsor, another adult webmaster or company (something MadHatter and I have done during different times) and working from home, or picking up some non-adult clients. Everything helps. Having income from several sources really helps that if one source is less this month, you might have another that is higher.
