Full time and just finished lunch in front of the computer
Started part time in late 2000-early 2001 and went full time I guess 4 years ago now in late 2003.
How to go from part time to full time? Keep working! Keep submitting daily. Spend time on projects but always always always spend time FIRST on the thing(s) that make you money. Usually that is building and submitting a free site (or gallery). Diversify and expand.
