Finally got through helping my brother and his wife get their house fixed up. Last trip to Montgomery we hung the kitchen cabinets and I installed 7 new light fixtures and finished the painting. It snowed last Sat. the 19th and I'll put up a video of me in the snow when my brother sends it. Central Alabama and snow....WTF
?? They predicted 3-4 inches but we only got about 1 inch. I was able to scoop up enough snow to make snowman balls but not enough to make the rest of him....
Contacted an old friend yesterday and got invited to ride in the
Joe Cain Mardi Gras parade next Sunday. Joe Cain is credited with starting Mardi Gras just after the Civil War. Mardi Gras in New Orleans may be bigger but it started here. The old Joe Cain house is 5 houses down the street from my brother's house where I'm staying now. What a blast that was when I rode in the parade several years ago.
