I know I havent posted in ages....

But this has been a quandry that has been on my mind for quite some time. How do you make sales in the industry now with this kind of thing going on?

There are answers. There are always answers.

But yes it can be the newest 'model' for the business. it will be for a few shortisghted flyby nights.

Same argument as TGP's back in the day. But here we are in 2008 and its the same but new again.

So now what? People used to pay big money for pics, then pics started being something easily accessed and easily downloaded via TGPs.

People used to pay for full length and high res movies. Now those are becoming easily downloaded for free as well.

Unfortunately currently its right now 'illegally' done... as was pictures, mind you... but eventually the "cant beat them, join them" philosphy will settle in on content producers and they'll be streaming 45 minute 'sample' vids right off of their main websites.

The first to do it will make quite a quick buck too.

There IS a path out of this mess. But its certainly not the path of least resistance. I hate to quote the borg but 'resistance (may be) futile"

it'll slow the whole process down to a crawl and we can hope for some nice deux ex machina to step in, but who knows what that might be.

That's my analysis, as it were.

And I hate it. 100% hate it. Hate torrent sites and hate tube sites and hate giving away porn not to every adult but to every kid on the planet who knows how to use a computer.

But the same assholes who jumped onto the TGP bandwaggon and danced with joy in the piles of money they made by being the first to give most of it away to sell a small part of whats left... they'll jump onto the tubes just as quick. God help us.
