I pay 29.99 for AT&T DSL which given I'm a little too far away from the central office for faster speed I get 768kb down (yes, that is less than a meg people) and 350kb up. It is always that speed though so I get nice steady uploads which are great.
My other service I pay 29.99 a month for AT&T Wi-Fi. At its fastest it is about 1.5 down, at its slowest about 500kb. I don't use it at all for upload because it is so fucking slow, like 3 - 10k or something like that.
We have tried all kinds of things but every time they bring something into town for faster high speed, they oversell and the speed dies. I even tried HughesNet which was a joke on upload speed slowness. They don't have cable internet to me (and I'm only 3 miles from their office yet they haven't strung fiber optics to me yet).
I'd love to move my house closer to the AT&T central office, I have a friend getting 6MBS download where he lives.
