CCBill linking codes are consistent - (most of the time).

The standard layout is <a href="http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=xxxxxx-yyyy&PA=zzzzzzz&HTML=http://www.programurl.com/"></a>

Where xxxxxx = the program account number
and yyyy = the program sub-account number
and zzzzzzz = your affiliate number FOR THAT PROGRAM
and programurl - the url that leads to the program (directly or in-directly). This URL can be that of the programs tour, the join page, a hosted freesite, a hosted gallery, a hosted blog, etc....

When a surfer clicks on a link thus formatted, a cookie is dropped on the surfers machine and if the surfer joins the program at any time before this cookie expires, is deleted or updated, the affiliate will get credit for the sale.

I say most of the time because some programs use additional tracking scripts and special code to allow affiliate numbers to be assigned to things such as RSS feeds.

For example, we have a custom script on all of our hosted blogs that allows your affiliate code to be attached to our program feeds that you import into your blogs. In the case of the sponsor feeds on our program, the linking code that you would insert into your blog's incoming feed plugin would look like this:

http://www.blogurl.com/?feed=rss2&affiliate=yyyyyyy

where blogurl = the url of the blog and
where yyyyyyy = your affiliate ID FOR OUR PROGRAM

We than parse this to create the standard ccbill linking codes on each link within each post on your incoming RSS feed.

(remember that this example is only applicable to GMPCash RSS feeds and does not represent how other sponsors handle their RSS feeds)

Yes - CCBill programs vary widely in the tools that they provide their affiliates - but is this really a bad thing?

What about the new program with great fresh content or the brand new niche site that just got CCBill approval? ? These sites may be just what you need to make a sale in todays competitive porn world.

Bottom line is CCBill is one of the best processors out there - especially for new and smaller programs - and if you're not promoting CCBill programs - you're missing some of the best programs out there.
