If you are comparing Dreamweaver to WordPress, I'd have to say WordPress.

Wordpress will handle your sponsors' RSS feeds, allow you to easily link with your neighbors, and have them link back, manage trackbacks and pingbacks and does a pretty good job at making an interface that is easy for you to update from the web, your iphone or whatever.

I don't think wordpress itself has any more edge than the rest, but, there are things that wordpress does which help you behind the scenes. When you create new articles it automatically pings other sites to let them know you made an update. When you put urls in your articles, it'll create a trackbacks to let the other site know you linked -- and in some cases, that remote site will link back to you.

There's a lot more to it than this, but, using some sort of blog software will definitely make your life easier. Useless Warrior discovered a wordpress alternative recently and seemed quite happy with it, but, I don't recall the name of it.

There are quite a few experts in here and I'm sure most will recommend some form of blogging software. There's a lot more to it than just posting articles, but, it'll definitely get you started in the right direction.
