...Netpond and Newbies really have nothing in common except ebooks and now that Netpond has made reference to them in a Newsletter, that the word is out on Ebooks as a viable source for traffic. Something I have used for "years" has now made a big splash.

Greeenguy, I did not praise anyone else's board here just referenced it. And it seems that out of the hundred's of Boards on the net, that this is the only board that has a problem with referencing other boards.

As for poor taste, if it is poor taste then there are a lot of people out there with it. Athough you may not have referenced any board on someone else's board you yourself were engaged in a thread almost a year ago to date, involving ********. Pimpdog references yet another board, where he stated his cause - he like many others feel that there is no need to write or even copy it all over again elsewhere, just reference it.

In many cases it is quite helpful to reference another board, especially in cases involving say for instance humor or even something as serious as parasite downloads. Interestingly enough, I found one that allows most LL owner's here the opportunity to correct problems with their puter's once hit with trojan horses.

Or even that they might place this thread on their sites to help their visitor's out that get atttacked from clicking on one of the "changed links" found on their LL. But unfortunately, the one I referenced as late as yesterday was taken off. Becuase it was someone's board where he posted his info regarding Yahoo, Google and other changes in SE's.

What is in poor taste is the arrogance displayed here on this board by many of your members. We even witness it here in this thread:

jaYMan <--- a man in business for two years and a site going not up but down. Maybe it is because he is on such a high horse his feet never touch the ground. Who knows not my concern other than "sharing info with others" so they can "share with me" is all that is important to me.

Not proving that I am better than the next guy, for christsakes - I am 44 years old not 15 and the ego trips of childhood are long past me. I smile brightly at my kids, when they fight over the window seat of my truck - it makes them feel important. And to me, hopefully, that gauge that they use to feel important will pass in time.

And the other one, I have seen here is "taboo subjects" I mean what the @#@$. The 50's and 60's are long past us where sex is no longer a dirty word. And life now seems to hinge on Political Correctness.

When I first come here I thought this was a decent board - the welcome here is well "in poor taste". You allow the hanger-ons, (I call them mafia wannabees) to control the flow of subjects often blowing a decent thread to hell and back - with bullshit remarks about the author of the thread and/or against a replier and all I can ask is what good is it?

It reminds me of Newbies when I first went there. There were a bunch of guys who did nothing but want to belittle people and all it did was fuck up the threads. It all stopped now and there are some decent subjects discussed, without the BS of who is more arrogant than whom. And what it took was not PC but common decent respect.

Well, I think I had enough - and all I can do is LM @#$#ing AO.
