Looking at the blogs from a more conservative view I would say the fonts are to small. It's very difficult for the surfer to read the text. I would also say that each pic should have a caption. Text under photos is very important. Readers first check headlines and photos with their captions. After they crossread the main contents in a few seconds they decide to stay or leave. It's pretty much the same as with printed articles in newspapers and magazines.
Learn a little bit about SEO and adjust your meta tags to suit your content and use less outbound links on the text. 2 or 3 outbound links per article are way enough. If a large percentage of the content is linked it will be considered a bannerfarm by search engines and you will not get any productive traffic from them.
I think a decent blog with 10 or 20 inbound links from good sources should easily make 200 to 300 SE hits a day after 6 months.
