Nope. For a hurricane party you get your drink of choice (Pat O'Brians in New Orleans even created a drink called the hurricane many, many years ago), and watch the trees blow down, listen to the transformers blow, and watch parts of your's and your neighbors houses fly by. In the old days, before generators were prevalent, everyone would take all the food out of their freezers and cook it all at the same time. All of the neighbors would get together and have a big party to consume everything before it went bad.
