Your friends, whoever they may be, came in here, not jsut in this thread but in any I have reply to or started, with their high on the horse attitudes, just as you do, and instead of discussing the subject at hand, begin to attack people personally.
For the longest time, I have heard reference to the "debasing conditions" of
other boards and how certain "idiots" who flock there and post, generally do not discuss the issues at bar, but degrade the threads to nothing more than "personal grudge matches".
For being here maybe just a little more than a week, I have witnessed this. And instead of showing their genious, they show nothing more than mere stupitidy. Personally I can not see how anyone can associate themselves with people like this.
I can not see any benefit in "hooking up" with someone or anyone who believes they "know it all" and begins to "debase someone else" for their opinion on a subject, just "to make what they said look better".
Personally, if I owned this board, I would write these idiots and I would clearly make sure I knew who they were, cause it is not hard to tell, and I would say to them, listen if you can not reply to a thread and maintain the subject matter at hand, then please don't reply.
I would continue to say that "this is not" a place where you can serve up your "personal vandetas" nor "a place to glorify" what you know or who you are. It is for webmasters to come here to learn, share and benefit from membership by making associations, reading posts and even writing them.
However, I am not the owner and he does what he wishes too and he has this right to do so. But I will say this, it is quite clear that no-one or hardly anyone can really benefit from this board with a bunch of "low life goofs" engaging in "self serving rethoric" and "attacking other members personally".
It is like talking to someone where every other word is fuck. When ya walk away from the person all ya can remember about what he said is "fuck". Then ya have to ask yourself what the "fuck" was he talking about?
Then, the real pity is this,
hundreds of people, not just a handful
sit outside the board looking in - they read and they see what goes on. Many who may want to join, don't; because they are scared of what may happen when they do.
This decreases the value of the board in two ways:
One from no-one being able to learn a thing, then others shy away from a person cause supposed "senior members" are attacking him and they are afraid of the retribution it may bring by standing up along side him and defending him. Or doing something as drastic as banning him as a result of these attacks.
And two, from a lack of membership whereby holding down advertising revenues and holding down referer joins from buttons found on this site.
But what do I know about "value" I am just an idiot who joined this board. And in the end "you and your buddies" can scare all the members or potential new members away all you wish too, it doesn't hurt me in the least. So laugh at that!
