Actually I did pay for fast/inktomi inclusion for my ll although I can't say it was really worth it, i have other domains with a lot more pages indexed there than my ll and I didn't pay for them
Im actually experiencing the same thing - it's amazing what not paying will do for you
I tried something today which may just get me added, if it works I'll let you know what it was (otherwise I won't say 'cause I hate being laughed at) - 
I promise we wont laugh at you love
