Good luck on the cracked rib Cleo, I feel your pain.
Fortunately, I didn't break my toe, I'm glad to hear, but dr. said I probably bone bruised it. Still hurts for some reason when sheets touch it it night, and makes for crappy sleep, so I'm a bit grumpy this morning.
Cold here too, guess I should go turn the heat up. We turn it down at night to save energy, and its always chilly in the morning. Glad I'm not outside, its in the high thirties right now brrr. At least its not
