It's not the kind of storyline that translates to the mainstream, it's about challenging the super hero concept.
You know how else I know it's going to blow having read very little about the movie...because they are making a video game of it!?!?!?!
Read this article if you don't understand why that flies in the face of exactly what the Watchmen were about.
