About 5 years ago I spent 3 months in Eastern Europe on business. The hotel had a news service that would fax the latest headlines from USA Today.
One of my European friends was reading were gas prices were expected to reach $1.75 a gallon. Of course he bust out laughing becasue never saw gas prices below $2 a liter. The current price was about:
$2.15 a liter * 3.78 = $8.12 per gallon
