While most of us know the economy and the paysite business has taken a pretty hard lately, the mobile marketplace remains largely untapped. We’ve had Filthfreaks Mobile in soft beta for a few months now and it has performed surprisingly well.
The ratios were 1:301, with over 68% staying on past the first month, and at least 60% keep rebilling past that. Even though the price point is a super low $8.99, this is the kind of thing people will leave on the credit cards, while they are canceling sites that rebill at $25-$30 because money is tight.
The affiliate game is changing with the economy, a great way to hedge your bets and keep making that 1999 Matchbox 20 money in 2009 is by developing some mobile traffic, picking up some mobile joins, and letting them rebill out.
