I use twitter & my blog rss to update my facebook.

I don't add everyone, it normally has to be people that I know and people who don't do much spam or are just interesting. I actually want to be able to read them and keep up, so I keep it to a manageable size.

I even started another twitter account just for following all the news & political sites that I'm addicted so. Otherwise I just can't keep up with it all.
