You may find that the hurdles you have to jump through will add a few years in payoff value. Florida currently requires a $250k umbrella insurance policy to be renewed annually for a grid tie system which adds about $1800/year to your cost. I commend you for your efforts -- I thought about doing it a few years back and still intend to do it... one day.

Hope everyone has a good monday.......
Holy crap! I'm glad I don't live in FL. We would like to get a wind turbine eventually, and our little Valley Electric does a grid tie system, and reimburses us if we over-generate and sell back to them. But then again, our electric company is a co-op owned by the members, so that probably makes a difference. We have a one local company that installs the system for 15k, with no batteries.

Between uploading and loading updates in site depth for my avs sites, and getting my garden ready, I'm ready for a nap. Spent a few hours finishing planting one out of 4 raised garden beds, then buried the big pipe in a 2nd one. That was hard work as the straw and dirt didn't want to move, and I almost am doing the splits as I sit on a little stool next to the bed to bury the pipe. Back in doors for some easier work building galleries, then hope to start planting in the 2nd bed later today. Have a good one all!
