I think the important thing is that you don't quit. It use to be MUCH easier to make money in this biz but everyone is giving away the good stuff for free. We are all ruining it for ourselves. If we could all somehow come to an agreement that hardcore should NEVER be given away for free, we would all make a hell of a lot more money. Surfers, especially in this economy, won't buy something they can get for free.
With every site your build and submit, you will get traffic. If you build and submit sites every day, your traffic will grow. With the increased traffic, your odds of getting sales increase as well. It might take a few years to get to a point where you are raking it in, but you need to work your ass off.
