Hello fellow webmasters

I have been toying with the idea of using scripts and was wondering what the industry is using. I see there is literally thousands out there and want to make a smooth transition into installing the script for my site.

Questions: what are the benefits of using scripts such as Mysol,CGI,ect.?

Question2 is it beneficial for submitting to TGPs?:

Questions:3 if building a site using only search engine what would a reliable script and easy to use and install?
