Last night I went to see The Pink Floyd Experience Tribute Band.

As close as I can get to the real thing.
I've decided last night I'm a Pink Floyd fan only so long as:
a. Dave Gilmour wrote or sings the song
and/or
b. There's female backing singers
and/or
c. There's a saxophone solo
At interval I was grumbling into my large glass of wine because they hadn't played a single song I liked. This despite it being the "You Decide" tour. We figured the show had been hijacked by a bunch of grumpy ex-psychadelic baby boomers who worshipped Syd Barrett.
They made up for it in the second half. Performed the whole of Dark Side of the Moon plus all the good ones. Stellar light show, perfect musicianship. It's like Dave Gilmour had stepped in and kicked out the annoying bass player or something
