If this is a joke, it's not my joke, I did really see it on CNN.

People in the News: 'Simpsons' voices hold out for more

Bart and Homer Simpson will grab any excuse to shirk, but their alter egos have a more weighty reason: money. Dan Castellaneta (Homer), Nancy Cartwright (Bart) and four other actors who voice the iconic characters are boycotting script readings for the upcoming 16th season of "The Simpsons."
Their three-year contracts ran out a few months ago. Daily Variety says each actor wants $360,000 an episode (close to $8 million for the season) -- nearly three times their current pay. In 1998 they were getting $30,000 per episode.

Ya I heard the same thing on the news.

They killed off Flanders wife because she wanted something like $1,000 more a show. She flew in from Denver every week to do. Not sure how this will play if they killed her off for asking.

Also this is the longest running cartoon show next to the flintstones, ran something like 5-8 years in prime time television.

Big difference from RAY ROMANO
The new deal will pay Romano about $1.7 million (GBP1.13 million) per episode - up from his current salary of roughly $800,000 (GBP533,300) per episode.
