They have their uses if you don't skim too much. Good way to get some outside traffic sources and if you can build the traffic you can sell ad space and even with a skim make sales.
I'm 50-50 on them. I have a site with 1 and a site without a trade script. It is MUCH easier to run a site without a trade script, that is for sure!
